My software engineer reflexes kicked in and I decided that I would do something about it. I started many projects and tools, but they ended up being either too ambitious or not completely aligned with what people really needed.

I decided that this time, I’d stay lean and I’d focus on allowing producers to do one thing: describe the artists they’d like to work with (genre, monthly listeners), find their perfect match, and reach out to them on Instagram. https://producerfury.com was born."

What milestones has your startup achieved since its inception?

Fabien: "It’s still very early. I'm preparing for the next steps."

What is your long-term vision for the company?

Fabien: "Overall, I’m thinking pragmatically. As an indie hacker, it’s hard if not impossible to join an industry, do a big bang launch with a bold revolutionary product and let the paid marketing fill the funnel. In the short and medium term, the vision is to plug as much as possible in the platforms and tools that the producers are already using, and to just add some features on top. To be a premium addon. Long term, why not go back up the tree, rebuild some of the external platforms and remove the dependencies."

Turning Passion into Business: A Deep Dive with Devon Chulick, COO of StartPlaying.Games

In today's interview, we're pleased to welcome Devon Chulick, the dynamic COO of StartPlaying.Games, an innovative platform designed to empower professional game masters and facilitate gaming experiences. His journey is a testament to the power of passion and determination, and the results speak for themselves.

What inspired you to start this particular venture?

I was featured in Bloomberg Business Week while moonlighting as a professional game master. The overwhelming interest from people who wanted to do this as a job or part-time gig astounded me. However, it's challenging. You need to know how to create a website, do your own performance marketing, handle your accounting. It was hard for many people to get started doing the same thing. When I met my co-founder Nate Tucker, we immediately realized that we could solve this problem. We were inspired to build StartPlaying.Games to empower game masters to run games and earn a living wage. We also aimed to facilitate people's ability to form communities, find gaming groups, and experience play once again.

What milestones has your startup achieved since its inception?

We've raised a seed round from a16z, a prestigious VC. It is also impressive is that our game masters have earned over 13 million dollars running games on our platform. This feels like a significant milestone, especially considering that this isn't your typical gig job. Our game masters are creating joy and bringing people fun, which is immensely satisfying.

What is your long-term vision for the company?

Loneliness is a pervasive issue today. Alarmingly, a Harvard study found that 36% of Americans expressed experiencing loneliness. This disconnection and lack of community is heartbreaking. We aim to address this by building vibrant communities through our platform. Our game masters foster these micro-communities, and the impact is palpable, from officiating weddings to creating lasting relationships. The grand vision for StartPlaying.Games is to take part in helping eliminate loneliness and foster these communities through play. Ideally, we would like to support a million game masters, which means we could potentially create communities for 10 million players.

Devon's vision for StartPlaying.Games is nothing short of revolutionary. By blending the power of play with the potential of entrepreneurship, he and his team are tackling societal issues like loneliness and the gig economy's challenges. Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the progress of this ambitious venture.

Encore's Revolution: Harnessing AI and Mobile Technology to Reshape the Music Industry - Jonathan Gray, CEO @Encore

Today, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Jonathan Gray, the forward-thinking CEO of Encore. We dove deep into the inception of his company, what fuels its innovative drive, and how it's redefining the way artists and fans interact.

What inspired you to start this particular venture?

My journey with Encore began when I had the chance to collaborate with my co-founders, Edelman and Kid Cudi, back in 2019. We shared a common goal: to help artists make money and forge a deeper connection with their fans. We aimed to do this through the dynamic worlds of mobile and gaming technology, ultimately creating Encore Studio. This mobile app is a powerhouse, allowing artists to produce live shows with just an iPhone. Shows can be as simple as a selfie or as complex as an immersive 3D AR world, all created through interconnected iPhones.

The app's currency is "claps," with each clap costing ten cents. Fans can participate, engage, and even top the leaderboard by clapping the most. This system also enables artists to make money from their live shows, while fans can earn claps through various activities. The key principle is that it only takes one clap to get into any show. This setup caters to every kind of fan, from casual listeners to dedicated superfans seeking exclusive merch or artist interactions.

Last year, we held over a thousand shows on Encore, and this year we're further expanding our offerings. Our vision for the company is to support artists beyond just music production. There's a multitude of tasks that artists have to tackle, such as visual content creation, marketing copywriting, and more.

Expanding the Scope with AI?

In recent months, we've been working to incorporate AI into our platform. The last generation of AI, which heavily involved computer vision, allowed for groundbreaking work in AR and computer vision on phones. Now, we're looking to harness the power of large language models, image generation, and video generation to further enhance our services.

This week, we're launching our cover art generator. This tool lets artists input the lyrics to their songs, select a few visual styles, and generate storyboards for potential cover art. Artists can then refine and finalize their cover art through a series of iterations and overlays. We're excited to continue down this path, helping artists create lyric videos, visualizers for Spotify Canvas and Apple Music, and even write pitch emails to Playlisters using AI technology.

What is your long-term vision for the company?

The big picture for Encore has two core elements: aiding music artists and leveraging technology to achieve that aim. It's exciting to see a substantial market opportunity for music, an industry that I believe is significantly undersized given its societal value. Rather than advocating for labels or artists exclusively, I believe the focus should be on enlarging the pie. We need to create new revenue channels, tools, and content for artists to tap into, which will in turn grow the market itself.

Direct monetization, mobile micro-transactions, and gamification are key steps to achieving this. Surprisingly, one of the most under-monetized aspects in the industry is the release of new music. The buzz that new releases create is largely not capitalized on, happening mostly on social media for free. We believe there is a vast opportunity here to create meaningful, mutually beneficial, and monetizable experiences for artists and fans. Our five to ten-year plan? Let's double the size of the music industry.

It's always inspiring to hear about innovations that challenge the status quo, and that's exactly what Jonathan and his team at Encore are doing. Their unique blend of mobile technology, AI, and an unwavering dedication to empowering artists is a game-changer in the music industry. We can't wait to see where their vision leads them in the years to come.

Unlocking Gaming Potential: The BREACH Odyssey - A Conversation with Founder Remigijus Zinys

Today, we delve into the exciting and ever-evolving world of gaming, as we converse with Remigijus Zinys, the founder of BREACH. From his humble beginnings in a small village to his extensive experiences in the gaming world, Remigijus has cultivated a fascinating perspective and a unique venture that promises to revolutionize the way we perceive gaming.

What inspired you to start this particular venture?

Throughout my life, I've always had a strong connection with video games. I grew up in a small farming village where I spent countless hours immersed in this digital realm. Whether they were loading from audio cassettes or playing on more sophisticated platforms, games have always been a part of my world.

My earliest venture was SPACEBAR.GG, a project where gamers could build custom PCs, learn about gaming culture and trends. As I got more involved, I found myself working closely with brands like Razer, HyperX, and Cooler Master, creating promotional content and getting to know the gaming community on a deeper level.

Then, I noticed a gap in the market. I realized that by linking a player's Steam account to the BREACH platform, we could access a wealth of information that would allow us to connect players of similar abilities and skill levels. This approach aimed to elevate the gaming experience, ensuring gamers are matched with other players who are on par with their skills.

The idea evolved from there, growing into a full-time job and requiring investments. After securing the necessary funds, we expanded the platform, adding a social activity feed and integrating features inspired by Twitter and Discord, all while maintaining our core focus on gaming. Currently, we're developing and polishing major features like streaming, voice chat, activity feed filters, tools for content creators to further consolidate all aspects of gaming, making everything readily accessible in one place.

What milestones has your startup achieved since its inception?

Since its inception, BREACH has managed to raise capital, launch an initial version of the platform, release early access video game on Steam, and secure accelerations with tech giants like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft.

What is your long-term vision for the company?

Our long-term vision is to become a comprehensive hub for gamers, offering a multitude of features and services. In the eyes of our investors, we are perceived as "Steam on steroids". Beyond that, we aim to support game development by providing publishing services for small studios and tools for game creation. As blockchain gaming gains traction, we also intend to incorporate these innovations into our platform, positioning ourselves as a gateway between traditional and blockchain gaming.

From his rural upbringing to his vision for the future, Remigijus Zinys is certainly making his mark on the gaming world. With BREACH, he aims to amalgamate all aspects of gaming into a one-stop platform, creating a seamless and enhanced experience for users worldwide. With over 15 years of experience in the music industry and brand marketing, he has seen it all and done it all. From his early years in the underground music scene, setting up record labels and club nights, to founding a brand agency working with clients like Adidas and Red Bull, Robin's journey is a testament to the power of creativity, adaptability, and entrepreneurship. Now, as he leads iiNDYVERSE, a direct fan engagement platform changing the landscape of the creative economy, Robin reflects on the inspiration behind the venture, milestones achieved, and his vision for the future.

What inspired you to start this particular venture?

I've spent around 15 years working in music and brand marketing. My last business was a brand agency that collaborated with various clients, including Adidas, North Face, and notably Red Bull Music Academy, supporting them in connecting with audiences. The problem I encountered was finding efficient, direct fan engagement tools that small teams could use. This challenge, combined with my interest in augmented commerce, Web 3, digital collectibles, and the metaverse, spurred the creation of iiNDYVERSE. Together with my business partner, Bryan, we developed a single platform housing multiple tools, providing artists with an affordable subscription model.

What milestones has your startup achieved since its inception?

We've reached some significant milestones. We secured backing from Farfetch, a leading global commerce and fashion retailer, and Outlier Ventures, a prominent Web 3 investor. Participating in their accelerator program kick-started our development. We also got invited to pitch at South by Southwest and won the speed pitch segment. We've managed to do a lot with minimal funding, primarily because we already have clients. Our approach has always been to build something people would want to pay for.

What is your long-term vision for the company?

Our long-term mission is to empower artists and record labels to achieve greater financial independence through deeper fan relationships. We are working with one of the world's most significant artists and brands on an exciting project that will launch soon. As we develop more tools through partnerships, we can then offer these to smaller to medium-sized artists, staying true to our core value of supporting creativity. We aim to democratize fan engagement experiences using Web 3 technology, making it easier for audiences to interact without worrying about the technical details.

From humble beginnings in the music industry to helping shape the future of fan engagement, Robin Shaw's journey is an inspiration. Through iiNDYVERSE, he and his team are redefining how artists and fans connect, fostering deeper relationships and opening new avenues for creativity. With two decades of experience in finance, Santiago's career shift towards the world of blockchain and gaming has been nothing short of intriguing. Let's dive into the mind of this entrepreneurial leader as he shares his journey so far.

Santiago, what inspired you to start this venture?

Shifting from a two-decade-long finance career to the gaming industry was undoubtedly an unexpected turn. The fascinating developments in blockchain, especially the concept of Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs), piqued my interest. The idea of creating a game character, an embodiment of a community, sparked the idea of FITCHIN. The aim was not to create these communities, as they already existed, but to strengthen them. This vision of nurturing communities inspired me to initiate this venture.

Can you share the milestones your startup has achieved since its inception?

We first conceptualized FITCHIN in 2021, and by the end of that year, we had completed our fundraising and kickstarted the operations. In 2022, we signed contracts with several teams and content creators and launched our first product - the tournament side. In May 2023, we launched the community hubs, the core of our product. Since December, we've established 40,000 accounts and have had 30,000 enrollees in our tournaments. We have yet more milestones to achieve, but it's been an exhilarating journey so far.

What is your long-term vision for the company?

Our ultimate goal is to create an engagement platform for eSports teams and content creators. We aim to create a unique IP or a character for each community, reflecting the ideas of its members. Every member will have the opportunity to personalize this character, yet it would still be part of that community. This character can exist in your digital wallet and serve as a key to unlock numerous experiences within your community and interact with others. We foresee these interactions taking place in gaming platforms, Metaverse or even manifested in cartoons, movies, or comics. The long-term vision revolves around developing these characters and empowering every member to own a piece of it, helping them feel part of something bigger.

Santiago's story is a testament to the power of curiosity and the pursuit of innovative solutions. Despite coming from a finance background, his forward-thinking mindset and embrace of blockchain technology are defining new frontiers in the gaming world. As we wrapped up our conversation with Santiago, it was clear that his vision for FITCHIN extends beyond a mere business venture. He is reimagining what community means in the digital age, and his journey is only just beginning.

Democratizing Music: Antony Demekhin's Vision for an Adaptive and Interactive Music Ecosystem

In today's conversation, we have the pleasure of talking with Antony Demekhin, CEO of Tuney. We primarily produced music for advertising, television, and films. Over time, we noticed that many of our clients struggled with editing music to fit their videos, especially for smaller budget projects. That's when we came up with the idea of Tuney: an adaptive, 'living and breathing' music library where users could tailor music to fit any video or film without needing to understand the intricacies of music. His insights on creating fan-oriented music investment platforms are both captivating and thought-provoking.

What inspired you to start this particular venture?

Coming from a tech entrepreneurial background, I didn't have much experience in music initially. However, a songwriter friend mentioned her intention to sell her catalog. This sparked an idea – would a fan pay more than an investor to own a piece of a song? So, I embarked on this journey.

I quickly found that scaling such a model was tricky due to issues related to securities and royalties as this was back in 2007. But I identified a gap – a marketplace for investors to purchase music catalogs was missing. So, I shifted my focus and established Royalty Exchange, the first marketplace allowing investors to acquire catalogs through auctions, collecting royalties. This was my first significant entry into music.

What milestones has your startup achieved since its inception?

While building several different platforms over the years, our biggest achievement was not just starting SongVest in 2020 but it was getting our first SEC Qualification with “Hit the Quan”. While we could not create royalty based securities back in 2007, now, because of the JOBS act and changing SEC rules, we now had a way to create SongShares which are fractional interests in music royalties which we can sell to the public

One unique feature we developed is our reverse auction engine. This concept sprouted during my time at Royalty Exchange and matured at SongVest. Unlike traditional IPOs, where the price per share is fixed, our model doesn't arbitrarily set the price. Instead, we let the fans dictate what they're willing to pay per share, essentially gamifying the pricing of the securities. This 'VIP Auction' mechanism was a significant milestone for us, merging technology and our unique user experience.

What is your long-term vision for the company?

I believe the vision for the music industry transcends the company. Technologies and trends such as fan engagement techniques and NFTs have emerged, yet none have proved sticky. However, we believe that the concept of IPO'ing songs, similar to companies on stock markets, will become ubiquitous in the music industry. It brings fans and artists closer, building upon platforms like Indiegogo, Kickstarter, Patreon, and Twitch.

In essence, the ultimate fan and artist relationship is realized through investment in a specific song or artist. Whether SongVest leads this vision or a competitor does, the notion of IPO'ing a fan engagement investment will be a game-changer in the music industry. Our hope is that SongVest will be a significant part of this transformation.

As our conversation with Sean draws to a close, his innovative approach to integrating music and investment becomes undeniably clear. By forging a closer connection between artists and fans, his vision is reshaping the music industry. We look forward to seeing how SongVest will continue to disrupt traditional models, bringing an exciting era of music investment to the forefront.

Shaping a New Era of Connectivity: An Interview with Haz Hubble, Founder of Pally

As we navigate the growing digital age, I was lucky enough to speak with Haz Hubble, founder of Pally, the startup that aims to revolutionize the way we maintain our personal relationships in this digital age. Based in London, Haz's journey as an entrepreneur began when he was just 15. His unique path has led him to create Pally, a product that seeks to fill the gaps left by conventional social media platforms.

What’s your story?

Well, I’m pretty unconventional. I didn’t go to university or even finish high school.

Instead, I was obsessed with the idea of entrepreneurship. I started working at 14, my first job was selling houses as an estate agent, and I went on to start my first company at 15. This was a services business providing graphic design, web development, social media management… essentially anything a ‘techy-young-15-year-old’ can help with.

As much as I loved my first dip in the water of entrepreneurship, I recognised I was still pretty young, and perhaps being my own boss wasn’t the best way to learn. Therefore, I started taking some night classes in accounting and law. These seemed like pretty good subjects that would help me in building businesses…

I discovered a love for accounting and finance, which I appreciate you don’t hear often, but bear with me… Finance is like the front-row seat to every business. You get to work with every department, and really understand what makes the company successful (or not, as the case may be).

Realising this is a great way to learn how to build a business, I doubled down on finance and got my first full-time finance role at 17. I went on to qualify as the youngest Chartered Management Accountant in the world at 20, and even became the CFO of a 200-person company at 22.

What’s inspired you to start Pally?

During my time working in finance I moved around a lot. I lived in five cities in five years, across different countries and even continents. Whilst great for my career, it was challenging for my social life.

It’s difficult to maintain strong social connections with people when you didn’t see them every day.

Given we’d now had social media for 15+ years, it was surprising that the existing platforms didn’t help you feel more connected; if anything, they made you feel the opposite.

They’re focused on entertainment. Swiping and scrolling through algorithmic feeds of people you don’t even know.

Each city I moved to, I got more and more frustrated, and the pandemic was the last straw. Now everyone realised the importance of social connection, and how hard it was to maintain these connections with the current tools we have available. I left my CFO role and started Pally to solve this.

What is Pally?

Pally is a social operating system; purposefully not a social media platform. Social media is about content, whereas we’re about providing the tools to improve your social life and strengthen your relationships.

At its core, Pally is a messaging app, but it’s also unlike any messaging app you’ve used before…

We’ve added an AI Concierge in every conversation, to help you discover things to do and make plans. There’s event planning functionality that makes getting people together easier than ever. And the intelligent address book provides key insights about your pals so you can reach out at the right time, every time.

Our goal with Pally is not to be something that extracts your time and attention, but become something that makes you a better friend.

What milestones has your startup achieved since its inception?

Over the last 18 months, our journey at Pally hasn’t been straightforward. Although the first two business ideas we pursued didn't take off, our current focus is generating substantial traction.

We're currently operating in London, with a community of around 15,000 people providing invaluable feedback. We've also secured commercial partnerships with companies like Ticketmaster, Sofar Sounds, and Viator (TripAdvisor). We work with various tech communities, who use our product to organise their events. Whilst we're still relatively early on our journey, the initial response to Pally is promising.

Through sheer determination and an innovative spirit, Haz is reshaping the way we connect and communicate, creating a product that places meaningful social connection at its core. As Pally continues to grow and evolve, there is no doubt that it will leave a significant mark on the landscape of digital communication. It's clear that Haz Hubble, with his trailblazing vision, is someone we should keep our eyes on in the tech world.

"Our goal is to create an ecosystem where artists can engage with their superfans" - Lee Gray, CEO @SonX

In the ever-evolving landscape of the music industry, one innovative platform is making waves and revolutionizing the way fans connect with their favorite musicians. SonX, a community-driven platform, offers superfans an exclusive and immersive experience like no other. Through a monthly membership, subscribers gain access to a treasure trove of audio content, physical collectibles, fan-only ticketing, and more. Inspired by the challenges faced by artists during the pandemic, CEO Lee Gray embarked on a mission to create a platform that not only allowed artists to monetize their craft but also fostered genuine engagement with their dedicated fan base. Join us as we delve into the unique features and vision behind SonX, the ultimate destination for music aficionados and artists alike.

What inspired you to start this particular venture?

Lee: "When I started working in music, the pandemic happened, and artists couldn't go on tour and make money from live events, which a lot of artists get their money from. I started to really understand all the players within the industry and why artists that were very popular weren't making the money that I thought. I think I started to see artists at the time decide to use platforms like OnlyFans and Patreon, and I personally felt like there should be a platform that's out there that doesn't have all the connotations that OnlyFans has and is specific to artists in the way that Patreon isn't. That was my inspiration and seeing that artists really wanted not just to make money, but engage with their fan base and have an understanding of who their real supporters are."

Are there any unique or innovative technologies SonX utilizes?

Lee: "When you download SonX, you're downloading from the App Store or the Google Play Store, and there is no reason for you to know that this platform has been built on the blockchain. However, it's an incredible technology for us to use because it allows the fan to have a real record of their behaviors. For the artist as well, it's an amazing packet of data. So the way that we use blockchain technology at the moment is if you buy a piece of merch, you get a free digital collectible with it as well. What that allows is two things. The artist is to be able to have a packet of data to see when you became a fan and how fast you bought that piece of merch. But then also if that artist becomes huge in three years and you were that fan that started part of his journey in the beginning."

What is your long-term vision for the company?

Lee: "Our goal is to create an ecosystem where artists can engage with their super fans. We will hopefully help a million artists to make a living wage off of their art."

As we conclude our exploration into the world of SonX, it is evident that the platform has emerged as a game-changer in the music industry. With its focus on empowering artists and facilitating meaningful connections with fans, SonX is redefining the concept of fan engagement and artist support. Through innovative use of blockchain technology, they provide a transparent and data-rich experience for both parties, nurturing a community that celebrates the journey from grassroots to stardom. SonX is set to reshape the landscape of music, enabling artists to thrive and superfans to revel in an extraordinary auditory adventure. Join the SonX revolution and be a part of the future of music.

Democratizing the Music Industry: Filip Strömsten and the Vision of anotherblock

In the rapidly evolving world of music and technology, there are few names as visionary as Filip Strömsten. As the COO of anotherblock, Filip is driving a revolution in the music industry, striving to create a fair, transparent, and accessible platform for music rights. Despite being his first business venture, Filip's unique blend of experience in both music and business sets him apart. In this interview, he shares the inspiration behind anotherblock, the milestones the startup has achieved, and his long-term vision for the company.

What inspired you to start this particular venture?

I would start with my background as it is quite relevant to the inspiration behind this venture. My first encounter with the music industry was when I got my first track signed at 19. However, I quickly became frustrated when I realized that the norm in the industry was to give away my rights and future income, without any guarantees. Even more frustrating was the lack of marketing for my song after I gave it away for free.

While studying at the Stockholm School of Economics, I noticed the trend of artists selling their catalogs for hundreds of millions of dollars. This realization, that rights could be sold, connected the dots to my frustration as a musician. I saw that there were big artists selling their music rights to large institutional funds and this sowed the seeds for the creation of anotherblock.

What milestones has your startup achieved since its inception?

Our mission at anotherblock is to create a story around each sale, establishing an emotional and financial connection between the artists or the rights holder, and the fan. One of our major milestones has been allowing sales of big songs like "Acquainted" by The Weekend and "B**** Better Have My Money" by Rihanna. We've democratized access to music rights, which were previously only available to large institutional funds.

Another significant milestone was our first royalty payout. Investors saw an average annualized yield of approximately 9%. Not only did this prove the financial connection between the fan and the artist, it also demonstrated that music rights could be a good asset to buy. Finally, creating a tool that enables financial freedom for creators and allows them to make a living from their music has been immensely fulfilling for us.

What is your long-term vision for the company?

Our long-term vision is to create a decentralized, fair, and liquid marketplace. This will foster an emotional and financial connection between consumers and creators of music. We believe such a marketplace will solve many problems. For example, it will help creators understand the value of their music, which is often obscured by complicated royalty statements and licensing.

Moreover, our platform can realign the relationship between fans and artists. Currently, artists are pressured to make music that caters to playlists and algorithms. With the opportunity to sell their rights directly through our marketplace, creators can enjoy more financial freedom and fans can get closer to the artists they love.

Filip Strömsten's inspiring journey with anotherblock holds significant implications for the future of the music industry. It underscores the critical need for transparency, fairness, and democratization. With an unwavering vision, Filip and his team at anotherblock continue to break barriers, bringing music creators and their fans closer together in an innovative and empowering way.

Revolutionizing Video Editing: A Candid Conversation with Vedant Maheshwari, CEO of vidyo.ai

In the dynamic world of video content creation, innovative minds seek to address the obstacles faced by creators globally. Today, we're thrilled to have Vedant Maheshwari, the CEO of vidyo.ai, on board to share his journey, challenges, and vision.

What inspired you to start this particular venture?

Vedant: Indeed, a pertinent question. The inception of this venture traces back to a real-life problem I encountered on a grand scale. Before founding vidyo.ai, I was involved in an initiative akin to India's version of TED Talks. We created original content in ten languages and I was responsible for distributing it across various social media platforms. Over time, we were generating more than 30 pieces of video content every week, which was being managed by a team of 30 people. The task became monumental; managing such a large team brought about operational inefficiencies. When I moved on from the organization, I reflected on this challenge. I believed that if we had faced this problem, it's likely other organizations around the world face it as well. Not everyone has the resources to employ a large team of editors and social media managers. This prompted the idea - could we use AI to automate all this manual work? From conversations with video creators, it was apparent that the editing process was a pain point for many. This helped us identify a real opportunity in automating this cumbersome manual work, leading to the birth of our venture.

What milestones has your startup achieved since its inception?

Vedant: It's been an absolutely exhilarating journey, especially given the recent AI wave that has taken over the world. We've been able to accelerate our business globally. Some notable achievements include attracting users from every country in the world, without any paid marketing. Over 195 countries have signed up and used our product. In less than nine months, we have seen over 600,000 users. We also achieved over 1.5 million dollars of annual revenue, all organically. The best part is that customers discover our product through referrals, creating a strong momentum for us.

What is your long-term vision for the company?

Vedant: That's an insightful question. We are witnessing two key trends - the prevalence of video content on social media, and an increasing number of people embracing content creation. We foresee a radical shift where nearly all social video content will not be edited by a human, but by AI. This AI would be smart enough to understand the engaging parts, the dull segments, and areas requiring human intervention. We envision a future where AI reduces the size of content teams, increases work efficiency, and revolutionizes social publishing. Our goal is to completely transform how content teams across the world operate by leveraging AI.

Vedant's vision for vidyo.ai illuminates the exciting possibilities for video content creation and AI. His profound insights into the sector's problems and his innovative approach to providing a solution showcase the potential of AI to revolutionize industries. Although I started my career in management consulting, my passion led me back to the music industry. After a stint in the music space and a return to consulting, I met my current co-founder, Lior. We kept an eye on the music industry and noticed a growing trend: independent artists were on the rise, but not being serviced.

Understanding the financial case of music catalog acquisitions, Lior and I wondered why independent artists didn't have access to this buyout model. Since August, we've partnered with over a hundred artists and raised a total of $32 million. We've executed deals ranging from small to up to $400,000. This success is credited to the robust tools we've developed, making these transactions possible.

What is your long-term vision for the company?

Our long-term vision is to make it easier and quicker for artists to engage in these types of deals. From weeks, we've reduced the time it takes to offer an artist a deal to under an hour. We've also facilitated repeat deals and received referrals from artists. Looking forward, we aim to offer more flexibility and varied types of deals to artists.

In the next 5-10 years, we aspire to improve the performance of tracks and extend our offerings to different rights classes. Currently, we only deal with masters, but we are exploring other potential areas. Another exciting goal is to optimize the performance of tracks further, ensuring that older catalog tracks still perform. Lastly, we aim to grow our fund, team, and impact, becoming a significant alternative for independent artists looking to advance their careers.

Christopher's unwavering commitment to uplift independent artists paints a hopeful picture of the future of music. Duetti, under his stewardship, continues to transform artists' lives, offering them opportunities and financial stability. At the heart of this trailblazing venture is Alena Golden, the co-founder and CEO. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Alena to hear about her journey, the milestones Rap Tech has achieved, and her vision for the future. Here's what she had to say.

Alena, what inspired you to start this particular venture?

I established Rap Tech Studios together with my fellow co-founders, one of whom is my brother and a fervent rap enthusiast. We grew up listening to rap and hip-hop music together in the late 90s/early 2000s, and we always aspired to contribute to the industry. Understanding that our strength lay in technology, computer science and product design, not as rap artists, we chose to leverage our expertise. We initiated a product called "BattleMe," centred around rap battles. Now, our flagship platform is "Rap Fame." It's a testament to our core beliefs - a sense of community, the opportunity to be heard, and inclusivity.

What milestones has your startup achieved since its inception?

Our initial achievement was launching the product and gaining traction, with the first hundred thousand users being a significant milestone. We joined the O2-powered accelerator in London, a considerable recognition for our potential. This boosted our team's morale immensely. After that, our next significant milestone was hitting the first million downloads. Currently, we have about 600,000 monthly active users and a vibrant community of six million registered artists. Our team of 15 full-time and 10 part-time members is a crucial part of our journey. Their enthusiasm and passion truly invigorate us on challenging days.

What is your long-term vision for the company?

We're determined to continue empowering people to express themselves. We're building tools within our platform that foster proactivity, like the ability for artists to host their own tournaments. We're building a "Reddit" or "Wikipedia" style business where the community has power, and we merely provide them with the technology and tools. We're also exploring ways to take our artists' careers to the next level. There's interest from our artists for us to launch a record label and represent them in mainstream music. The quality of content is so high that some of our top artists could easily compete with Spotify's top artists. Hence, we're looking into the streaming area to allow our independent talent to earn from their music regularly while having complete control of their careers in music.

Alena Golden and her team at Rap Tech are genuinely revolutionizing the rap and hip-hop industry. By using technology to democratize the music space, they're providing a platform for artists to express themselves, grow their careers, and contribute to the community in a way that was previously unimaginable. We look forward to seeing where Alena's leadership and vision take Rap Tech next.
